Liverpool set Ben Doak asking price after Crystal Palace & Ipswich bids
Liverpool set their asking price for Scotland winger Ben Doak after rejecting bids from Crystal Palace and Ipswich.
Liverpool will demand at least £30m to part ways with winger Ben Doak, a report has claimed.
The highly rated Doak has impressed during his loan in the Championship with Middlesbrough and was the subject of a £15m bid from Crystal Palace, who saw their approach rejected quickly on Friday.
The Athletic state Ipswich Town then tested Liverpool's resolve with a £16m offer for the teenager, but the Reds again made it clear he was not available for such a price.
Crysencio Summerville's £25m move from Leeds United to West Ham United last summer has been used to generate Liverpool's asking price, believing Doak is worth far more than the £15m offered by Palace.
Liverpool hope to leave Doak with Middlesbrough for the remainder of the campaign before taking a fresh decision on his future in the summer.
Doak's short-term career could be tied to that of Mohamed Salah, whose public pressure on the club over his expiring contract continued on Friday with an insistence that he is in his final year at Anfield.
