Real Madrid make fresh Jurgen Klopp contact after Carlo Ancelotti sack decision

Real Madrid renew contact with former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as they prepare to sack Carlo Ancelotti.
Real Madrid have again contacted former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as they prepare to part ways with Carlo Ancelotti, a report has claimed.
Klopp was touted as a possible candidate for the Madrid job earlier this month when it became clear that Ancelotti would ultimately be relieved of his duties, most likely at the end of the La Liga campaign.
It was then claimed that Klopp was keen to return to management with Madrid, only for the Liverpool favourite's agent to publicly pledge his commitment to his current role as Red Bull's head of global soccer.
The answer from Klopp's side is unclear but an imminent return to management is not thought to be in his plans. He is expected to remain away from the dugout until the summer of 2026 at the very least.
Madrid will continue negotiations with Alonso but are prepared to turn to former boss Santiago Solari, now a director at the Santiago Bernabeu, to lead the team at the Club World Cup before a permanent successor to Ancelotti is put in place.
Ancelotti is close to signing a contract with the Brazilian national team, which was also touted as a possible job for Klopp before his agent cooled the speculation.
