Report: Man Utd & Man City join Real Madrid in race for Premier League star
Tottenham’s Pedro Porro has previously been on the books of Manchester City and played under new Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim at Sporting CP.
Manchester United and Manchester City have both been named as suitors of Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro, who is also wanted by Real Madrid.
Madrid are keen to sign a new right-back next summer and have their sights set on Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, who could be available on a free transfer if he declines to extend his deal at Anfield. Should they miss out on the Englishman, they are expected to target Porro.
The La Liga outfit may not be alone in their pursuit of Porro, however, as Spanish publication AS (via Sport Witness) state that Madrid may face competition from both United and City.
Porro made a total of 98 appearances under Amorim, scoring 12 goals and contributing 20 assists, and is said to still hold a strong relationship with United's new tactician.
As for City, they had Porro on the books for three years, including his 24 months on loan with Sporting, but never actually handed him a first-team appearance before cutting ties permanently. The reigning Premier League champions have Rico Lewis and Kyle Walker as their current options, though the latter is 34 years old and is no longer guaranteed to start each and every week.
It's thought Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to do business over Porro and will demand at least €70m (£58.3m) to even consider selling.
