Bayern Munich hold talks with Alphonso Davies replacement amid Real Madrid interest - report

Bayern Munich are preparing for life without Alphonso Davies in case he joins Real Madrid with a move for Milan’s Theo Hernandez.
Bayern Munich have held talks with AC Milan's Theo Hernandez in case they need to sign a replacement for left-back Alphonso Davies, according to a report.
Davies' contract at the Allianz Arena is up in 2025 and talks have not progressed over a fresh deal, leading to mounting speculation that Bayern could sell him this summer so they don't lose him for free 12 months down the line.
The Canada international has been extensively linked with Madrid, and Sky Sport Germany report that Bayern are preparing for his departure by lining up a move for Hernandez.
Bayern will ultimately not move for Hernandez unless Davies leaves, while their new head coach will also have the power to veto a deal for the Frenchman. They are still searching for a successor for Thomas Tuchel and have already been rejected by Austria boss Ralf Rangnick, with former manager Hansi Flick now on their shortlist of contenders.
Doubt has been cast on Davies' potential move to Madrid by the Spanish press in recent weeks due to Bayern's high asking price, with Los Blancos potentially backing away from a summer move in order to sign him on a pre-contract agreement next season.
Davies was utilised as winger during Bayern's Champions League defeat to Madrid earlier this week. He came off the bench to put his side ahead with a spectacular goal midway through the second half, before a late brace from Joselu ensured Madrid advanced to the final to face Borussia Dortmund.
The result ensured Bayern will end the season without winning a trophy for the first time since 2012.
