Kevin De Bruyne makes Man City contract decision
Kevin De Bruyne is ready to snub interest from the Saudi Pro League and MLS to sign a new Man City contract.
Kevin De Bruyne hopes to end the uncertainty surrounding his Manchester City future by signing a new contract at the Etihad Stadium, a report has revealed.
De Bruyne has entered the final six months of his current deal and, as he prepares to turn 34 in June, has been tipped to depart City this summer and take his talents to either Major League Soccer or the Saudi Pro League, where there is significant interest in his services.
However, The Times state De Bruyne is instead eyeing a new conteact with City which would take his stay at the club beyond ten years.
City manager Pep Guardiola has made no secret of his desire to continue working with De Bruyne, even if he has publicly acknowledged the fact the ageing midfielder is no longer in his prime. Injuries have taken a huge toll on De Bruyne in recent years and have restricted him to just 11 Premier League starts so far this season.
No negotiations are planned immediately but De Bruyne is thought to be relaxed about the situation and is prepared to sit down with City when the time is right.
