Man Utd make contact over Serie A goalkeeper amid uncertain Andre Onana future

Manchester United have made contact with Torino over goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic amid Andre Onana's increasingly uncertain future, a report has claimed.

Having endured a nightmare debut season at Old Trafford littered with high-profile gaffes, Onana appeared to be finding his feet at the beginning of the current campaign. But the Cameroon international has since fallen back into old habits and has made three errors leading to goals in the Premier League alone this term.

With Altay Bayindir failing to inspire when coming into the team, United are expected to evaluate their goalkeeping situation ahead of the summer, potentially dipping into the market for a brand new stopper.

United have "asked for information" on the 28-year-old's price tag amid growing expectations that he will leave Torino this summer, with the Red Devils yet to make final decisions on Onana and Bayindir. Clubs in the Saudi Pro League are still interested in the former, while the latter could move elsewhere in search of more playing time.

It's expected that Milinkovic-Savic would be interested in a move to Old Trafford but United must first come to a decision on which direction they're taking when it comes to their goalkeeper situation.

Ruben Amorim could be eager to sign his own stopper having inherited Onana and Bayindir from the previous regime, but United have an array of areas in need of reinforcements in the summer transfer market. There are many positions which could use strengthening at the end of the season.

As for Milinkovic-Savic, there have been links between the Torino stopper and a number of Premier League clubs. Chelsea and Manchester City have both been touted as suitors by reports elsewhere.
